Bridge The Gap Tutoring & Youth Mentoring Programs

We are a small thrifty organization with low overhead expenses. We have only two staff positions, a teacher, and tutor coordinator/student advocate, both of whom work part-time.

In addition to payroll, contributions to the BTG youth tutoring and mentoring programs help pay for:

• A safe school bus shuttle for our kids to evening sessions.
• Our "Wish-Book" program that encourages reading achievement by awarding students prize books of their choice.
• Special tutor training sessions conducted by our staff. We support the generous effort of our tutors.
• School supplies like paper, pencils and pens used during tutoring.
• Small social events that celebrate learning and give our children, parents and tutors a chance to develop a deeper sense of community.
